Guidelines For Adjudicators

Adjudicator Definition
In music context, an adjudicator is a person who gives a critical evaluation of competing music acts, resulting in the award of prizes.

Qualifications And Experience Of The Adjudicator
All person(s) nominated to seat on the adjudication panel of the Sun FM Kwacha Music Awards shall be expected to possess the following qualification and experience;

  1. Should have knowledge in music and be qualified to make a judgment in a vast diversity of music genres.
  2. Should have technical skills or expertise and experience relevant to the adjudication of music.
  3. Should be able to give fair, independent and impartial judgment iv. Should have a clear understanding of the role of an adjudicator in the Sun FM Kwacha Music Awards.

Code Of Conduct And Ethics

  1. Should be free from corruption, bribery and beyond criticism
  2. Avoid indulgence in alcoholic drinks before and during the adjudication process
  3. Should not allow oneself to be an affiliate of, competitors or nominee in the Awards
  4. Should promote and uphold confidentiality and avoid suspicion by not socializing with competing artists.
  5. Should remain impartial throughout the process of adjudication
